Just like an artist uses a range of colors to paint a masterpiece, I see my life is made up of many vibrant aspects, each color represents a different part of my life—my inspiration, passions and pursuits. Growing up, my bedtime stories weren't about fairy tales with lands full of magic and wonder but about my grandfather's life—a life shaped by sacrifice and determination. He skipped meals to save for candles to read at night, his love for learning struck me deeply. He was the first in our family to attend Hanoi University of Science and Technology, a journey he paused to serve in the war. I felt a profound respect as he spoke of trading his dreams for duty and returning later to travel, learn, and give back to society. These stories live within me, a reminder of resilience, passion, and commitment to a cause beyond oneself.
One of my most treasured memories is from my fifth birthday when my grandfather wrote a heartfelt poem filled with his hopes for me. His unwavering support has been a constant in my life, guiding me to value education and serve others. As I move forward in my own journey, I aspire to honor his legacy by preserving and developing the traditions he has instilled in me—taking education as a priority and viewing service to society as a guiding light . I see myself not only as a representative of my family but as a part of a bigger story, one that involves continuous learning, growth, and dedication to society.
