SERVICE TO COMMUNITIES - BLUE
Through Blue, I want to show you the spirit of exploration that drives me—the energy to travel, discover new places, and contribute to the communities I visit. For me, it embodies a desire to give back, to leave a positive impact wherever I go.
I've always been captivated by the thrill of exploring new places and embracing new experiences, even as a child. I vividly remember those summer days spent wandering through vibrant markets, where the air buzzed with the scent of unfamiliar spices and the sound of laughter echoed around me. There's a certain magic in uncovering unfamiliar landscapes, immersing myself in different cultures, and finding stories in the seemingly ordinary. Meeting new people, hearing their unique journeys, and leaving a positive mark wherever I go is a guiding principle that I strive to live by.
Taking "service to society" as a guiding light, I've been fortunate to engage in and experience a variety of community service projects. I embarked on numerous journeys to remote areas in Thanh Hoa, extending love and compassion to those who need it most. Those trips are not just acts of service, but opportunities for me to connect with the community, explore the untouched beauty of faraway lands, and understand the depth of our shared humanity. Each journey feels like a new discovery, both of the land and of myself.
Every trip has given me a renewed sense of belonging and purpose. As I helped distribute resources, share stories, and offer a listening ear, I felt the weight of the traditional ethos, "The leaf protects the tattered one," come to life. This saying, rooted in Vietnamese culture, underscores the idea of community and mutual care, and it's this principle that continues to guide my efforts.
Back To School Event - Volunteer trip in Ban Ngheo, Quan Hoa District, Thanh Hoa
The "Back to School" event in Ban Ngheo, Quan Hoa District, Thanh Hoa, taking place on 18th July, 2023, was organized to support local students as they started their new school year. Together, we provided essential school supplies, organized fun activities, and encouraged a love for learning through discussions on methods to study well.
Happy Running Event - Marathon in Ham Rong Ward, Thanh Hoa
The "Happy Running" marathon in Ham Rong Ward, Thanh Hoa, taking place on 29th July, 2023, brought together runners of different abilities to celebrate resilience and community spirit. Designed with accessible routes and inclusive events, the marathon saw participants in wheelchairs, alongside those walking or running, all moving together toward the finish line.
"Da Nguyen Doan Vien" - Voluntary event celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival at Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, Thanh Hoa Specialized Hospital
"Da Nguyen Doan Vien" event, taking place on 23rd September, 2023, brought Mid-Autumn Festival joy to children at the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Thanh Hoa Specialized Hospital. Volunteers crafted a warm, festive atmosphere with traditional lanterns, mooncakes, and lively performances, lighting up smiles and filling the room with laughter. Through games, music, and meaningful gifts, we aimed to bring comfort and the spirit of reunion to the children and their families, making this Mid-Autumn celebration a memorable moment of warmth and hope.
23h59' - A carnival celebrating cultures of different countries with Lunar new year
"23h59'" carnival, taking place on 8th February, 2024 celebrated the rich diversity of global cultures alongside the Lunar New Year. The vibrant event came with colorful traditional costumes, cultural performances, traditional cuisine and festive decorations from different countries. From Chinese lion dances to Japanese Taiko drumming, Vietnamese calligraphy, and Korean folk games, each activity weaves together unique customs, uniting participants in a joyful tribute to heritage and new beginnings.
"Soi Sang Non Ngan" - Volunteer trip in Quang Chieu, Thanh Hoa
"Soi Sang Non Ngan" - a volunteer trip to Quang Chieu, Thanh Hoa taking place on 2nd June, 2024, aimed to brighten both the paths and the futures of local students. Together, we installed 15 solar-powered lights along village roads, bringing safety and light to the community's evenings. We also provided students with essential stationery, supporting their studies and easing their journeys toward knowledge. This initiative was a step toward sustainable growth and a brighter future, illuminating both the landscape and the lives of those we met in Quang Chieu.
Green campaign - Community Event
The "Green Campaign" community event unites local residents in a shared mission to preserve and beautify our environment. Together, we clean streets, plant trees, and promote sustainable practices, inspiring every household to take part in creating a cleaner, greener neighborhood. Through hands-on activities and workshops on eco-friendly habits, this campaign fosters community pride and environmental responsibility, showing that small efforts can make a big impact on our shared space.
"Step Forward to School" - Voluntary Event
We arrived at At Bat Mot Ethnic Minority Boarding School, Nhu Thanh province, Thanh Hoa on an early sunny morning in August, 2024 with boxes of supplies, the excited chatter of 70 children filling the courtyard. The students' eyes lit up as we handed out school supplies and books, their smiles worth every effort. We shared stories and laughter, the hum of connection weaving through the mountain air—a reminder of how small actions can ripple into something profound.
"For a Better New Year" - Voluntary Event
The New Year's Eve support trip to Hoi Long Pagoda on January, 2024 was a heartwarming effort to bring joy and encouragement to 50 disadvantaged children. We organized festive activities, made Chung cakes, shared traditional treats, and provided essential gifts, creating a celebration filled with laughter and hope. The trip symbolized the spirit of togetherness, offering these children a brighter start to the new year and reaffirming the community's commitment to supporting their future.
